About the Boudoir Session
The purpose of this session was to explore a mature age boudoir session for this gorgeous Canberra lady. A collaboration with Sarah Tahir Makeup Artist and Wardrobe by Bras By S. We looked at the best styling bedroom setting options as well as wardrobe, looked at hair styling options for a gorgeous lady with silver hair tones, makeup looks for mature skin and understand the experience of a 50 plus woman. In this age range ladies have grown children and like Sharon grandchildren, have life experience and sometimes starting to look at retiring. They have more time for themselves “sometimes” and like to reflect on love and living life to the fullest. Here is what Sharon had to say about her experience.

What made you decide to do a boudoir session?
You asked me and I couldn’t refuse!
What was your perception about Boudoir before your session?
Hit and miss. A lot of slutty images are around but there are some really classy ones too.
Did you have fears about committing to a boudoir session and what were your worst fears?
No
Was the session what you expected it to be or was it more?
More. I didn’t expect to be laughing so much and smiling in as many photos as I did.
What was your favourite part about your boudoir experience?
Experimenting with different poses and outfits.
Who was your makeup artist & what was your reaction and experience to your makeup and hair?

I thought she was working too fast to be doing anything special, and then I looked in the mirror and was shocked at how perfect I looked! I wanted to look different than I do when I style myself and she over delivered!!!!
Where did you go to source your boudoir outfits from?
I had some myself, jumpers from my daughter and Bras by S
How did you feel when you saw your photographs?
Smug. Delighted. I always look for the negatives and couldn’t find any!
What advice would you have for other ladies interested in doing their own boudoir session?
Research really well…. don’t get caught looking or feeling like a two bit hooker.
Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty and confidence as a result of the session?
My body is far from perfect, it’s been through the wringer a few times, stitched, broken, bruised and repaired. But Can now see myself as smoking hot!

How did you like working with Kerry Sleeman before and on the day of your session?
So professional. The constant communication from her was reassuring and so professional and on the day we had a ball.
Would you do it again and if so would you change anything?
Yes! My boobs (hahahahaha). (Lovely Sharon is getting some new boobs! in October! How exciting!)
Would you recommend a boudoir session others?
Yes!

Extremely surprised and for some reason, I felt validated.
What was your over overall experience?
Kerry is the consummate professional. She’s respectful, knowledgeable and reassuring. And the results are perfect!

Session Overview
Here is a sneak peek at some examples of Sharon’s looks from her boudoir session. We started with a lovely cardigan and knicker then moved into some more daring looks and Sharon being a fitness instructor for @ForeverYoungFitness totally rocked her session!
Look 1 – We started the session with some gorgeous colour tones in the cardigan and lovely white lace high cut knickers to suite the style of the bedroom setting. Very age appropriate look for those ladies wanting to keep their images modist.
Look 2 – A gorgeous set from Bras By S really makes this look pop. The bright red lace on the white bedroom setting certainly creates a statement.
Look 3 – Another gorgeous bodysuit, this time long sleeve for variation from Bras By S really makes this look pop. The bright red lace on the white bedroom setting certainly suits Sharon’s silver toned hair.
Look 4 – Ok now this was a fun look. Bras By S provided this fun little piece blue piece, something to show off and compliment Sharon’s tattoos, something different to the normal lingerie pieces, it was a laugh a minute which created some great shots with fun loving Sharon.
Look 5 – Yes we did a lot of different styling options for this shoot! Why not! The idea was to provide as may options as we could for the shoot to show other ladies what options there were. Now these images below are taken on my floral backdrops! Very fitting for the first of spring! Love this colour tone and the complimentary lingerie from Bras By S to bring a bit of colour pop to the image! Such a great way to have your own cover girl shot!
Look 6 – Do you own a pair of fishnet stockings? Have a look in the back of your underwear draw! Well that is what happened with Sharon, she was like hmm, lets try these as a look for the shoot! Some of the most random items can really work with boudoir images. Below some different styling options with different backdrops, posing and camera angles! So great!
